visual-studio, visual-studio-2010, and fixed should be removed, keep the other two. As for the question, you can disable the red color for filenames, but this has nothing to do with the lag you're experiencing. As for the lag, you can try replacing the official C++ plugin with Clangd, which in my experience works faster.
